Dr. Naman B. Patel

Dr. Naman Patel was born in Chicago and grew up in California. At the University of the Pacific, he completed an accelerated six-year program which combined undergraduate studies and dental school, allowing him to achieve his degree in biology and his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree. Following graduation, Dr. Patel earned a Delta Dental Scholarship to provide dental services to underserved areas for the span of a year. He practiced dentistry in California until 2007, when he relocated to Arizona.

Dr. Patel is continually advancing his knowledge of the latest treatments and techniques in the field through continuing education. He has also completed the Synergy Implant Training Program so he can provide his patients services in implant placement and restoration.

Dr. Patel and his wife, Shilpa, have a son named Aarav and a daughter named Rheya. Dr. Patel loves spending time with his family and in his free time enjoys basketball, golf, traveling and trying out new restaurants. As a dentist, Dr. Patel focuses on providing his patients with the latest, most effective treatment options to help them achieve lasting oral health.

I highly recommend Island Dental! I’ve been there twice and have received great dental care and advice. Christy was my hygienist today and she was incredible - it was the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had. It took a little longer than other cleanings, but she let me know beforehand that she’s a perfectionist. She was sensitive to my needs and did a great job. Dr. Patel is nice too. When there was a claim error from a previous visit, the office staff immediately corrected it and saved me $10. They get you seen quickly too. Highly recommend overall :)

There is so much good I can say about this place. First off lets start by acknowledging the employees from the front desk to the back, very friendly and kind. I appreciate feeling important by them because they will reach out to you through text to help make arrangements that works best for you, they take their time and respect your time. The treatment I am receiving is nice and easy thanks to the dental assistants and the doctor. I travel an hour to this place and will continue although i live in a city with multiple dental options.

I have been coming to island dental for years and am so glad I put my trust in Dr Patel. He is very friendly and a very good dentist. My kids also go to this office and see Dr Patel. His team help accommodate to my younger kids and teenagers. I would highly recommend my friends and family to go to him.

Very disappointed. My husband and I have been going to Island Dental for 4-5 years and have always been pleased with the experience. In the past, we’ve gotten in and out quickly and the receptionist has always been chatty and cheery. But mostly, we’ve been thrilled with the hygienists we’ve been seeing for years, Molly and Laura. This visit, we were surprised to have new hygienists (who we were not happy with), sales pitches for electric toothbrushes, water picks, crowns and Invisalign. The receptionist could barely muster words when checking out, let alone a smile. The whole experience was awful. When I asked about the hygienists we’d been seeing for years, I was told “they both don’t work here anymore.” That’s a red flag. Also, the hygienist my husband got told him she was a “fill in” and complained about customer service Indian telemarketers during their chat. Awkward. And the one I had knew I was uncomfortable with the new water pick cleaning system their using now and said “it made the process faster.” And then proceeded to dig at my teeth with regular tools for another ten minutes. Was it faster? Or could you have shown some compassion and listened to the patient. Needless to say, we’re not going back and are now on the hunt for wherever Molly and Laura went. If you’re out their ladies, find me!!! From, the Cat Couple.

I always have a great experience at Island Dental! They are gentle with me as my anxiety is really high and make me feel as comfortable as possible! I feel like they always have my best interest in mind and do great work!
