Des
(Office Manager)
Destinee has been part of the dental field since 2015. She began her career as a dental assistant and transitioned to the front office in 2023. Destinee is passionate about patient care and enjoys educating others on the importance of oral health. Outside of work, she loves traveling and cherishes time spent with her husband and their two sons.

Casey
(Front Office)
Casey has been in the dental field off and on since 1998. She has enjoyed all aspects of the dental office. She has experience working as a dental assistant and in the front office. Casey loves spending time with her 4 children, making memories, snowboarding, paddleboarding, and traveling.

Jenny
(Front Office)
Jenny is an Arizona native. She has been in the dental field for a short time and loves interacting with patients. She is a proud mom of 2 boys, ages 19 and 21. She loves to work out and play golf in her free time.

Karen
(Dental Assistants)
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Karen moved to Arizona in 2001. Karen attended dental assisting school in Milwaukee, WI, and has been working as a dental assistant since 1990. She loves the hands-on opportunities of dental assisting and the patient interaction. She is living in South Gilbert and is married with 2 children. She enjoys the outdoors and loves to hike, bike, and do Zumba! She also has a passion for travel and is very interested in exploring other cultures, and she is a huge beach bum who dreams of living on a tropical island.

Samantha
(Dental Assistants)
Samantha grew up in Mesa, Arizona, since she was 5 years old, and now resides in Maricopa, Arizona since May 2021. She graduated from Phoenix College with her AAS degree in 2014 and has been pursuing a Bachelor’s in Allied Health degree to have further opportunities in dentistry. She enjoys educating patients about dentistry and loves to provide a great patient experience in the dental chair. During her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her son Fabian, doing cookouts with her family, and experiencing new things.

Troy
(Registered Dental Hygienist)
Troy graduated from Rio Salado Dental Hygiene School in 2015. After working at a few offices, he found his home at Island Dental in 2019. Troy cares about people and wants to help them improve their oral health with the latest technology, products, and procedures available. He likes listening to his patients' concerns and exploring solutions together. Troy was born in Delaware and raised in New England. He moved to Arizona in 1992. When he is not helping patients, he enjoys vacationing with his wife and family, playing guitar, and leading worship at church.

Vanessa
(Dental Hygienist)
Vanessa is a dental hygienist who is passionate about helping patients feel at ease while achieving a clean, healthy smile. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly Pomona and a Dental Hygiene degree from Rio Salado College, bringing a strong foundation of knowledge and care to every appointment.
Outside the clinic, Vanessa enjoys trying new recipes and getting lost in a good book.

Sara
Sara is a dedicated and compassionate dental hygienist committed to helping patients feel confident in their smiles. With a gentle touch and a focus on patient education, Sara strives to make every visit comfortable, informative, and personalized. She brings extensive experience in preventive care, periodontal therapy, and patient-centered treatment planning. Her favorite part of the profession is building long‑term relationships and empowering patients to take an active role in their oral health. Outside the office, Sara enjoys going to the gym, and loves staying current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene through continuing education.
